She was born in 1991 in Istanbul. In 2010, she enrolled in Trakya University, Department of History. After a year, she took a year off from her education and went to Florida for English language training. When she came back, she completed her undergraduate education in 2015. She received her master’s degree from Trakya University, Institute of Social Sciences, Department of History with the thesis titled Turks and Sogdians (Political-Cultural). Then she started both her doctoral education at the same university and her second master’s degree at Eötvös Lorand University (ELTE), Assyriology department within the scope of the MEB YLSY scholarship. Gamze specializes in Mesopotamian history and works on ancient languages such as Sumerian, Akkadian and Ancient Greek.
